Meet Our Leadership Team

Pierce Burns, Founder

  • Pierce is a Winter Park native with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Rollins College. He founded Tropic Trax in 2016 with a passion that still drives him to every project today. Pierce found an interest in the site work industry at a young age dedicated himself to become an expert in the field. His focus as a leader is to foster a culture in which people come first.

Jathan Hendrix, Operations Manager

  • Originally from Statesboro, Georgia, Jathan was raised in the construction industry. Since then, he studied accounting at Georgia Southern University before joining the Tropic Trax team in 2022. Jathan strives to utilize and perfect systems in order to run our operations at the highest level of efficiency.

Dagoberto Perez Bautista, Foreman

  • A grade A bobcat operater from Mexico, Dagoberto is often referred to as “Pierce’s adopted son.” He oversees our site work division, specializing in rough and final grades on custom homes and ensuring all finishing touches are up to the Tropic Trax standard.

Luis de Jesus, Environmental Division

  • Luis joined the Tropic Trax team in 2018 after moving to Orlando from Ponce, Puerto Rico. Having grown up sitting passenger in a tow truck, he has a passion for all things trucking and heavy equipment. Luis now oversees the scheduling, delivery & pickup of our roll-off division and the brokering of clean fill inbound dirt. His emphasis is on ensuring on-time delivery throughout our day-to-day trucking operations.
